Bits I Like

These snaffles are mild and I have found that many horses that are not comfortable in typical broken snaffles, french link snaffles, or "comfort mouth" snaffles will work well in these.

These Pelham bits also work well with horses that have fussy mouths.

<- Mullen Pelham,

<- Rubber Pelham:
(This bit may be more acceptable
for some horses with extremely sensitive bars.)

<- Foreman Roller Pelham
(The roller mouth Foreman pelham is
especially useful for horses that
put their tongues over the bit.)

.
Grazing curb: short shank, low port, solid bit

Concho bit: Low port, swept back shank,
Called the "lil Missoula"

These curb bits are mild, effective with horses that have been ridden exclusively in curb bits, and those just learning to work in one,  and seem to work well with most gaited horses. If you have any questions about where to find these bits, email me for information on sources.
